Catching Clashes Before They Become Change Orders

A clash caught in a model review costs a few minutes of a coordinator's time. The same clash caught on site costs a rescheduled crew, a change order, and often a redesign under time pressure. The gap between those two costs is the entire business case for systematic clash detection.

Hard clashes are the easy part

Automated tools reliably catch hard clashes -- a duct running through a beam, a pipe through a wall. The harder, more valuable work is catching soft clashes: maintenance clearances, code-required access zones, and sequencing conflicts where two trades need the same space at the same time but never physically overlap in the model.

Rules before reports

A clash report is only useful if the rules behind it reflect how the building will actually be built and maintained. That means calibrating tolerances by discipline and system criticality, not running every model through the same default clearance settings.

Our approach

Our Clash Detection Services pair automated scanning with an engineer's review of every flagged issue, so the clash log that reaches the project team is a prioritised action list, not a spreadsheet of noise.
